LETTER TO AN EMPLOYER!

As requested I have provided a copy of my resume.

However, this document completely misses the point of who I am, and fails to inform as to the essence of my qualifications.

I am the butt of a gigantic cosmic joke, the victim of a terrible twist of fate that has cast me in the role of Change Agent for the human race.

I am constrained to define what a Change Agent is, this term is being bandied about, I have seen Century 21 agents described as Change Agents in commercials promoting that real estate company.

A Change Agent is an individual who has achieved cultural change and is therefore qualified to manage cultural change in organizational structures.

I am an agent of a type of society, a cooperative society, one whose ethos is cooperation and one in which individuals rely on positive reinforcements to motivate the other to act.

I was cast in this role quite by accident, while wallowing in a deep pit of depression precipitated by my imminent divorce, I decided to tell the truth whatever the consequences for the rest of my life.

I believed that my contribution to the breakup of my marraige was the numerous infidelities in which I had engaged, which were facilitated by numerous lies and deceits, hence my decision to adopt the discipline of truth.

Over the intervening thirty years the practice of this discipline has stripped from my psyche the irrational ways of thinking, beliefs, illusions, delusions and myths to which I had been conditioned during socialization to coercion based culture; I was no longer victim of the repression that lamed my intellect and became able to apply my higher mental processes to social problems, I gained wisdom in the conduct of my affairs.

In his book, "Two Jamaicas," Phillip Curtin declaimed," That the fundamental problem in its broadest setting was to find a body of ideas to explain the proper working of a tropical, free labor
society."

Adopting the discipline of truth gave me the method that allowed me to succeed in solving the conundrum which is my life's work,finding a body of ideas to explain the efficient functioning of modern democratic societies with sophisticated technologies produced by burgeoning scientific establishments.

I have succeeded in this quixotic, transcendent enterprise.

I have concluded that human beings were conditioned to reliance on coercion to motivate the other to act during the period after the evolution of Homo Sapiens, a period that lasted for a minimum of forty thousand years and might have been as much as five hundred thousand years.

My race never chose coercion, this means of motivating the other was thrust upon them by necessity, the necessity of surviving in a state of nature, when human beings existed in hunting and gathering societies competing with much larger and better physically adapted denizens for existing energy resources.

The human race not only survived this period they became the paramount species because they could learn; they eventually discovered agriculture which innovation increased their numbers and allowed them to begin to climb the steep incline towards civilization.

But they were habituated to the use of coercion in their relations with the creatures that populated the environment, and created cultures in which the ethos was competition and the dominant roles were territorial predator and prey.

This balance was disturbed with the discovery of ethics, and a means had to be found for these moral imperatives to coexist with coercion based culture in a world still physically and politically so unstable that morality was impractical.

I hold that repression was the means utilized to permit ethics to coexist with the beliefs, attitudes and patterns of behavior coercion based culture; which precipitated an ever widening gap between concept and precept and resulted in the laming of human intellects, individuals could not apply their intelligence to social problems.

The message that I am trying to communicate is that there is a means to relieve repression and redress its dismal effects; that causes the human race to be too little, too late in developing accurate descriptions to social problems the necessary prerequisite to their solution.

The merit that you have perceived during my stint of employment at your location arises from the fact that I have adopted the modernization ideals as promulgated by Gunnar Myrdal as my culture.

These ideals are specified on the web site voiceofpeace.net in more than one essay on freedom, the last being "A Dialogue Towards World Peace" when they are listed adjacent to a depiction of an angel, an attempt of humor on my part because angels are perhaps the most powerful symbol of traditional culture, of the irrational coercion based culture that these value premises should replace; a jest that, thus far, only I can appreciate.

The fact that makes this enterprise a quixotic exercise in futility is the gap, the ever widening gap between concept and precept, between the reality that exists, and the need of individuals and institutions to conceal the patterns of behavior that they have engaged in to succeed and accumulate social, economic or political power.

I am seeking to enlist your cooperation in this momentous, monumental and transcendent enterprise because I must assume that you have read at least one of the essays I have written and that your interest in recruiting me is because you share in some degree the world view implied in that essay.

Because I have been trying to get this message out for more than a decade without any success, except the dubious honor of Companies like Century 21 adopting the verbiage to lend authority and validity to their sollicitations.

You, and your organization, have the means to prevent these ideas from dying with me because the truth exposes the corruption and predation in every social system; the means to create a future for the human race, where we have been repeating the past over, and over, and over again.

I was motivated to begin the quest for these ideas because my native land had become a "state of nature," a lawless society in which the weak, the old and the young, were increasingly at risk.

As I traversed this journey of discovery it became clear to me that what creates and recreates the "state of nature" for human beings were ways of thinking, beliefs,attitudes and patterns of behavior deeply embedded in our culture, which were perpetuated by the power of individuals and institutions to suppress the difference between concept and precept in their modus operandi.

My modus operandi in applying for employment may cause you doubt my sanity - unless you are siezed with an appreciation of the level of dysfunction around us and are truly committed to seeing an amelioration of this situation.

I close by providing motivation for you to enlist in this cause; the opening shots have already been fired in what will come to known as World War Three, the conflict between Western and Middle Eastern civilizations, between the followers of Jesus and the followers of Mohammed.

This conflict will result in the very significant weakening or possibly the destruction of Western Civilizations, a result not unique or of great significance in broad sweep of history - except that it could mean that the greatest achievement of Western civilization, democracy, the notion that there could be government of the people, by the people, for the people may perish and be extinguished from the face of this earth.
